Openex produces a vast array of extra-large parts – up to 250 tons – with our extra large Horizontal Boring Mills. Forgings, fabricated weldments, and large cast components can all be machined to your specific dimensions.

Large CNC Machining Capabilities
Our largest machining center features XYZ travel of 50m x 8m x 7m while our largest vertical lathe machine features a maximum swing of 22m and 6.65m Z-axis travel capacity. We have 209 sets of heavy duty CNC machining tools, including horizontal boring mills and vertical mills with multiple axes of high-resolution machining motion. Built-in rotary tables allow us to machine complex workpieces in a single setup. Our manufacturing staff is exceptionally proficient in designing custom fixtures that improve the machining process and allow us to achieve a high degree of precision and speed.
Large CNC Turning
Large complex machined parts are the foundation of what make Openex into a leading supplier to Large OEM’s.Our State of the Art manufacturing facility is able to turn parts with a max OD of 22000mm and up to 6500mm tall. Our Cranes can lift up to 450 Tons.

Quality Assurance
One of the essential workhorses for product verification is our Coordinate Measuring Machine(CMM). We use it every day to qualify rapid prototypes and machined parts that have complex geometries with tight tolerances.
At Present, we have two ZEISS CMMs-MMZ G large bridge CMM and ACCURA II bridge CMM, and one laser tracker Leica AT901.
Our quality assurance program is focused on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled, both by our internal staff and through our clients’ expectations.
