Recently, Openex has provided a well-known construction company with a bending service for a drainage system. The material is 316, the plate thickness is 2mm, the processing width is 1700mm, the processing length is 1500mm, the minimum fold is 20mm. Processing involves de-coiling, cutting, bending, welding, assembly etc .
The customer requires the tolerance of this batch of products to be controlled at about ±1mm. In response to the customer’s requirements, all departments of Openex work closely together, give full play to the advantages of advanced equipment and technology, and strictly control each and every processing procedure. In the bending process, 100T bending equipment was used for bending processing. In the end, the product delivery was completed with high quality and recognized by the customer.
Role of Stainless steel fabrication in the drainage system
Stainless steel plays a significant role in drainage systems due to its unique properties that make it highly suitable for such applications. Stainless steel is a corrosion-resistant alloy with excellent durability, making it an ideal choice for various components within drainage systems. Here’s how stainless steel processing contributes to drainage systems:
- Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel is known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, which is vital in drainage systems where exposure to moisture, chemicals, and other corrosive substances is common. It resists rust and degradation, ensuring a longer lifespan and reduced maintenance requirements compared to materials that may corrode over time.
- Durability: Stainless steel is highly durable and can withstand heavy loads, impacts, and harsh environmental conditions. This is crucial in drainage systems where pipes, channels, grates, and other components need to endure constant wear and tear.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Stainless steel has a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to clean and disinfect. This is especially important in drainage systems, where maintaining proper hygiene and preventing the buildup of debris and contaminants is essential.
- Aesthetic Appeal: Stainless steel’s modern and sleek appearance adds an aesthetic element to drainage systems. It’s often used in architectural designs where the drainage system is visible, contributing to a visually appealing environment.
- Resistance to High and Low Temperatures: Stainless steel retains its mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures. This characteristic is vital for drainage systems that may experience extreme temperature variations, such as in industrial settings or outdoor applications.
- Chemical Resistance: Stainless steel can withstand exposure to various chemicals and substances commonly found in drainage systems, including acids, alkalis, and cleaning agents. This resistance prevents the material from reacting with these substances and ensures the system’s integrity over time.
- Low Maintenance: Due to its resistance to corrosion and its durability, stainless steel drainage systems generally require less maintenance compared to systems made from other materials. This can result in cost savings and reduced downtime for repairs and replacements.
- Environmental Considerations: Stainless steel is a recyclable material, aligning with sustainability goals. Using stainless steel in drainage systems can contribute to reducing the environmental impact by promoting recycling and minimizing the need for new raw materials.
- Variety of Applications: Stainless steel can be processed and fabricated into various shapes, sizes, and configurations, allowing it to be used for pipes, channels, grates, manhole covers, and other drainage system components. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from residential to industrial settings.
In summary, stainless steel processing plays a crucial role in drainage systems by providing corrosion resistance, durability, hygiene, aesthetics, and a host of other benefits. It ensures the longevity and performance of the system while maintaining its functional and visual appeal.
